Antónis Kastellaní (London 1991) studied music performance. As a singer and multi instrumentalist his work has focused on establishing links between traditional and experimental music. Interested in the meeting points of improvisation as composition, his work bridges formalism with the unforeseen and spontaneous.

As a multi-instrumentalist he has had his solo guitar and vocals work ‘Orange Sundown’ showcased at the Kubus of the ZKM in Karlsruhe, 17th July 2021 and the Architecture Biennale in Venice, November 2021. As a member of Yolk choral collective, his piece ‘Sink, Skin’ was showcased at the old church, in Stoke Newington in 2022. He has also released work with HaHa Sounds Collective as a vocalist, Marker Starling’s re-work of ‘Silk Rock’ and with Clémentine March on ‘My Empty Town’ as lead guitarist. More recently he contributed cretan lute, guitar and vocals to Tina Janders’ release titled ‘contact’ - an online file sharing collaboration.

His work has appeared in media such as The Wire, The Quietus, and is currently working on bringing together his varied interests in folklore, narrative and chamber music. He is also curating an event series @panes.series which showcases interdisciplinary work, advocating for courage in listening consciousness.
